Einst war The Homeless Gospel Choir das Projekt, die Band, das Baby von Derek Zanetti, einen Sänger und Songwriter aus Philadelphia. Er stand bei AF Records, dem Label seiner Buddies von Anti-Flag unter Vertrag, ging unter anderem mit genau diesen auf Tour und ließ sich obendrauf von Anti-Flag-Bassist Chris#2 produzieren. Heute ist manches anders. Aber nicht alles.
Neu ist, dass aus The Homeless Gospel Choir eine wirkliche Band geworden ist, neben Zanetti sind auch Matt Miller (Endless Mike And The Beagle Club, Wingnut Dishwashers Union), Maura Weaver (Mixtapes, Ogikubo Station), Megan Schroer (Boys, Kitty Kat Fan Club) und Craig Luckman (Small Pollen, Belly Boys) am Start. Neu ist auch das Label, das kommende Album erscheint auf Hassle Records. Worüber sich Zanetti mächtig freut: "The Homeless Gospel Choir is proud to announce signing to Hassle Records. They’re responsible for putting out so many bands that we love and admire and we are honoured to be a part of such a wonderful punk rock tradition."
Wann das Album erscheint, ist noch nicht bekannt. Einen neuen Song aber gibt es bereits, hier läuft "Don’t Compare".
