They Care A Lot
Über 30 Jahre ist es her, dass Faith No More ihr erstes Album veröffentlichten. 1985 war es, als "We Care A Lot" als Kassette und LP auf Mordam Records erschien, erst 1995 gab es das gute Stück auch auf CD - und ab dem 19. August 2016 auch in überarbeiteter, aufgemotzter Form. Warum? Verrät uns Faith No More-Bassist Billy Gould:
"There were a couple of reasons we decided to release this now: first of all, it's been 20 years since it has been commercially available. Secondly, when cleaning out my basement, I discovered the original master reels, and we all thought that resurrecting this from the original tapes would be a great way to reintroduce 'We Care A Lot' into the world. Lastly, this has been a band effort; we are releasing this in the same way as we recorded it, deciding everything amongst ourselves and getting our hands deep into the nuts and bolts... just like we used to."
Neben dem Album selbst im neuen Sound sowie neue Liner-Notes und Fotos enthält die von der Band selbst veröffentlichte Neuauflage auch neun Bonus Tracks: Demo-Versionen von "Greed", "Mark Bowen", "Arabian Disco" und "Intro", Live-Versionen von "The Jungle" und "New Beginnings" sowie neue Matt Wallace-Mixe von "We Care A Lot", "Pills For Breakfast" und "As The Worm Turns".
