Die im kommenden Jahr tatsächlich genau diesen Geburtstag feiern. Pünktlich dazu erscheint am 25. Januar das neue Album "Why So Crazy".
Vorab gibt es ein neues Video. Genauer gesagt ein 360°-Video und mit "Mad Men"-Star Jessica Paré auch noch hochkarätig besetzt. Gedreht wurde im Band-eigenen Headquarter "Odditorium" mit der Band-eigenen Bar, die Courtney Taylor-Taylor persönlich geleitet wird – und der hier auch direkt die Regie des Videos übernahm. Idee und Konzept des Ganzen stammen allerdings von Kevin Moyer (Elliott Smith, Modest Mouse, Pearl Jam, Portugal The Man), der sich vom "Odditorium" ziemlich begeistert zeigt:
"I've been there many times and it is such a cool and ethereal place, full of psychedelia and gothic touches and auras, that it just makes your head spin trying to take all of it in as you walk through the unique rock n roll space. So what better way than to use a head spinning media format to take the viewer on a magical journey through the Dandy Warhols own space and sound, with the new single ‘Be Alright’ making things exactly that along the way."
Hier läuft das "Be Alright" 360°-Video. Am 27. Januar spielen The Dandy Warhols ihre bisher einzige Deutschland-Show im Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin.
